Posh Kids Go To State School | School Swap: The Class Divide (Documentary Analysis)

This is part of a two-part documentary on ITV which features a comprehensive headteacher and three pupils swapping with their private counterparts to find out if public schools give you the first-class advantage, and whether a state education really means second-rate education.

This program provides a close insight into the perceived educational gulf between the two schools, the attitudes of the students and their teachers towards each other, and asks whether private education is a ticket to a top job later in life.

I would say they use a reflective documentary style on filming and there is no bias in the filming just the views of the headmaster and headmistress who both have some conflicting ideologies on education, however, we find that through more time spent together they have some similarities in what they want to see in the education sector.

When I come and film my documentary this has made me realize that this documentary-style would not work if I do carp fishing however if I go for the car option this style may work if you take two points of view from conflicting ideologies and make them spend time together. However, some of the different editing styles especially from interviews to factual information and statistics would work extremely well for both subjects that I am considering doing.
