There are many reasons which I have chosen Prime video, one of the main reasons is that they have a younger age demographic of young adults who are subscribed to their service (age 18-34) and then a large number of people who are middle-aged, from the ages of 18 up to mid 40's make up my primary, and secondary target audience. I have thought about BBC3 however there age demographic is too young and there isn't a strong enough secondary target audience for that channel. The other channel that I considered was ITV4 due to the higher number of male consumers however the age demographic was too high for who I wanted to reach. You can see why I feel that amazon prime would be the perfect place to host my documentary as the primary and secondary target audiences for amazon are the same as who I want to target and also there is a much larger proportion of male consumers on this platform.
